THE DOORS ARE WELDED SHUT SO THEY WON’T OPEN BUT MAYBE THEY’VE LEFT YOU A CLUE ON HOW ELSE TO GET THROUGH?

NOTES

You lot come waltzing in here, expecting us to just do as we’re told!

How can we trust you when you never let us in on what’s going on.

Oh you want to talk? Well how about you listen for a change?!

We’ve locked ourselves in the engineering bay, away from the rabble. Nobody’s getting to the engines without our say, as we’ve welded the doors shut! You’ll need something pretty heavy duty to get through...

Look. If you really want us to open up, you need to open first!

If you do that, you’ll have what you need to proceed… Bzzzt!

THERE’S A SCAN OF A PERSON’S BODY AND SOME DATA SHOWING WHERE THE INJURY IS. THE DATA LOOKS A BIT MESSED UP BUT MAYBE YOU CAN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AND LOCATE THE BODY PART?

Oh good, you’re here. It’s been absolute chaos!

My team have managed to hold the medical bay, but the whole station is a warzone.

What, you want us to negotiate?!

To be honest we’ve never felt at all included in your ‘mission’, not even from the start. Everyone ignored our messages back when we said things were spiralling out of control.

So. No!

I’m not sure we can help you, we’re too busy looking after the wounded. Unless you can prove that you actually value our line of work!

We’re sending over a scan of a patient. They’ve been injured but our equipment is giving us strange fragmented data… Please input the correct body part so we can treat them.

You want our help, you can help us first. Then we can talk about ‘negotiating’.

Oxygen, gravity, heating and sanitation. It takes a lot to keep a space station alive!

Life support care for all the basics that allow people to live aboard this floating hunk of metal; we are one of the busiest teams and the least appreciated…

So we’re a bit too busy to talk ‘diplomacy’, unless you fancy breathing CO2 and floating around the ceiling?!

This kind of work is a case of spinning plates, maybe you can help? We need assistance with the sewer ducts. It’s not glamorous work, but if you can be flexible maybe we can be flexible too, and make some time to talk...

That mess below is a ship schematic for the sewer system on the ship. We need to flush the whole system out before we all end up swimming in our own… you-know-what. But to do that we need to input the correct override sequence. It’s a 4 digit code. The only clue we have is this old note from a retired plumber:

‘The eye looks down on the sea.

YELLOW, RED, BLACK, GREEN’

THE ANSWER TO WHAT HAS BEEN CAUSING ALL THIS UPSET MUST BE SOMETHING PRESENT IN ALL 5 STAFF JOURNALS... MAYBE YOU CAN USE THE MOOD TRACKER TO INTERPRET THEM?

The Welfare Garden has been trashed, the windchimes smashed, the yoga balls used as projectiles and somebody tried to poison the coy carp… good thing they’re just holograms. We refuse to work with people who reject calm discourse in favour of violence!

NOTES

Sorry the Captain can’t talk right now they’re… well… they are cowering under their desk. I’m the second in command but we’re glad you’re here. We’ve lost any kind of authority over the stations as you can see. We’ve tried communicating over the intercom, to get everyone talking again, but they just laugh at us, or call us names.

It’s embarrassing, we’re supposed to have all the power, but the truth is it’s lonely at the top… All the same if I’m honest I think the whole of this ship has felt pretty powerless and that’s what has caused all this trouble.

Anyway, we’ve been locked out of the ship’s navigation system and we’re just drifting aimlessly. Can you help us work out what the ship needs to get us working together again? We’ll give you full control of the ship-wide intercom, and whilst you’re at it, maybe you recognise this star chart? It doesn’t match any of our records...

NOTES

We’ve lost all outside comms from the station. If we are going to bring back some semblance of sanity we need your help!

Our team are trying to reestablish contact with the outside world. They sent back the following image of the communication screens on the main deck. Someone has trashed a whole bunch of them and covered them in graffiti! Strangely it almost seems… intentional?
